Police Department

Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Penn Yan Police Department to provide effective law enforcement services for those who reside, work and travel through Penn Yan. The Penn Yan Police Department is committed to working with members of the community to enhance public safety and the quality of life in Penn Yan.

Road Patrol
The core of the Penn Yan Police Department is its road patrol officers. The Department currently has three full time sergeants and eight full time road patrol officers. The Department utilizes five part time officers to cover shifts and assist in patrol functions. These officers work daily with the public responding to calls, assisting motorists and performing vehicle and traffic functions.
Prescription Drop Box
The Penn Yan Police Department has a prescription drop box located in the entrance of the police department. Prescription drugs can be dropped off for safe disposal Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm. 
Parking Regulations
There is no parking on Village streets from 2am to 6am November 1st – April 1st. No parking overnight in the business district.
