Spring Cleanup April 3 - 27, 2023
Collection of ONLY leaves, tree branches and yard debris will begin April 3rd with Burns Terrace and will end April 27th at Red Jacket Park. DO NOT pile yard waste near utility poles, guy wires, fire hydrants, sign posts, water valves, trees, storm catch basins or any other obstructions. Tree limbs must be 3" or smaller. After the final pass, property owners can take brush to the Village dumpsite by appointment only. Please read this flyer for complete details. |

Main Street Water Main Replacement - Frequently Asked Questions
- UPDATE 3/29/23 - NYSEG will begin gas main replacement work on Monday, April 3, 2023 starting at the Elm and Main Street intersection. This intersection will be closed to one-way traffic during the connection. Main Street will be closed from Elm Street to Maiden Lane starting April 3rd and will be open April 7th for the weekend.
- The Main Street water main from Elm Street to Clinton Street will be replaced. This is part of the Village’s ongoing efforts to proactively replace aging infrastructure. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin April 10th.
- During phase I, Main Street will be closed to traffic from Elm Street to Maiden Lane for approximately four weeks, sidewalks will remain open. During phase II, Main Street will be open to one-way traffic from Maiden Lane to Clinton Street for approximately two to four weeks.
- Progress updates will be posted here and at the VPYDPW Facebook page. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact the Department of Public Works at 315-536-3015. Please read the letter from the Director of Public Works to residents and business owners affected by this construction.

This is to advise you that the dates of operation for the 2022-2023 Regular and Emergency benefit HEAP components have been extended from March 15, 2023, through close of business on March 31, 2023 or until the funds allocated to these components are exhausted, whichever occurs first. Effective Monday, February 27, 2023, a second Emergency benefit will be available to eligible households experiencing a crisis or life-threatening heat or heat-related energy emergency who have exhausted available Regular and first Emergency benefits. There are fees associated with paying your bill online. If paying via ACH or e-check, effective November 15, 2020, the new convenience fee is $1.95 - the old rate was $1.05. The fee for debit and credit card payments is approximately 2.95% of your total bill.
